Itinerary Details

On This Day

On day one of our Hunza, Nagar, Fairy Meadows, and Gilgit tours, you will be warmly greeted by our knowledgeable guide and/or driver at the airport.

From there, we will depart for Hunza, a breathtaking 2-hour drive that will take you through some of the most awe-inspiring landscapes in the region. Along the way, we will make a stop at Rakaposhi viewpoint, where you can take in stunning views of the majestic mountain range.

Next, we will visit the legendary Baltit Fort in Karimabad, which is over 900 years old and is a UNESCO world heritage site. Our expert guide will take you on a fascinating tour of the fort and share its rich history and cultural significance.

Afterward, we will check in at our hotel and enjoy an early lunch before embarking on a trip to Altit Fort. This remarkable structure is over 700 years old and is a testament to the ingenuity and skill of the craftsmen who built it.

We will then take some time to relax and soak up the tranquil atmosphere of Altit village and its beautiful gardens. Later in the afternoon, we will head to the highest viewpoint in Hunza-Nagar, Duikar. Here, you will witness a mesmerizing sunset over the snow-capped peaks, an experience that will take your breath away.

Finally, we will visit the Eagle’s Nest, where you will enjoy panoramic views of the entire valley. Our first day will end with a night stay in Karimabad, Hunza, where you can unwind and reflect on the incredible experiences of the day.

On This Day

On day two of our Hunza, Nagar, Fairy Meadows, and Gilgit tour, get ready for an action-packed day filled with unforgettable experiences. We will begin our journey by passing through the iconic Ganish Bridge and ancient rock carvings, which are a testament to the rich cultural history of the region.

Next, we will make a stop at the well-known Attabad Lake, which boasts stunning turquoise waters and a backdrop of majestic mountains. From there, we will travel through the newly constructed Pak-China friendship tunnels, which offer breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes.

As we journey through the Hussany Glacier, you will be treated to a view of Passu Cathedral/Cones (above 6000) and Shispar Peak. We will then pass through Passu peak and Batura, which is the world’s fourth-largest glacier, and take in the spectacular views from the viewpoints.

Our journey will take us to Khunjerab National Park in Deh, where we will have the opportunity to spot marmots in their natural habitat. We will then reach the Pak-China border, where you will be stunned by the natural environment and may even witness snow in the summer on a lucky day. You will also have the chance to meet Chinese people, including soldiers, border police, and tourists from the other side.

We will enjoy a packed picnic lunch on the Pak-China Border, which is situated at an impressive altitude of 4733m. After lunch, we will take some time for shopping in Sost, which is the immigration and customs point for Chinese goods such as electronics, watches, and more.

Later in the day, you will have some free time to relax or go shopping around Karimabad. For those who are interested, we can also visit the famous Hunza De Café, which is known for its delectable walnut cake.

On This Day

On day three of our Hunza, Nagar, Fairy Meadows and Gilgit tour, we will start our journey with a scenic drive to the Hoper Glacier Viewpoint, where you will be able to witness the awe-inspiring beauty of the glacier up close.

After enjoying the views, we will head back to Karimabad where you will have some free time to relax or go shopping in the local markets. You can take in the vibrant culture and traditions of the area, and perhaps even pick up some unique souvenirs to bring back home.

For those with a sweet tooth, we highly recommend a visit to the famous Hunza De Café, which is renowned for its delicious walnut cake. Indulge in this mouth-watering delicacy and discover why it has become a must-visit spot for anyone exploring the region.

As the day comes to an end, we will return to our hotel in Karimabad for a comfortable night’s stay. Get some rest and gear up for another day of exciting adventures in the stunning Hunza, Nagar, Fairy Meadows and Gilgit region.

Day four of our Hunza, Nagar, Fairy Meadows, and Gilgit tour will be filled with adventure and breathtaking sights. We will begin our journey with a drive to Raikot, where you will get to see the ancient Silk Route and the mesmerizing views it offers.

Afterward, we will embark on a thrilling jeep ride to Tatu, where you will get to experience the rugged and wild terrain of the region up close. Once we reach Tatu, we will begin our hike to Fairy Meadows, with the help of hired porters and donkeys.

As we trek through the stunning landscape, you will have the opportunity to soak in the natural beauty of the area, including lush green meadows, snow-capped peaks, and gushing rivers. The hike will take around 2-3 hours, depending on your pace, but the journey is worth it.

Once we reach Fairy Meadows, we will settle into our comfortable huts and take in the stunning views of the surrounding area. You can relax and unwind in the peaceful surroundings, or explore the area and immerse yourself in the local culture.

As the night falls, you can enjoy a warm meal while stargazing under the clear sky. Fairy Meadows offers a unique experience that you will cherish for a lifetime.

On day 5 of our Hunza, Nagar, Fairy Meadows, and Gilgit tour, get ready to witness one of the most magnificent views in the world. We will embark on a trek to Nanga Parbat base camp, which is a challenging yet exhilarating journey that will take around 6-7 hours.

As we hike through the wilderness, you will be surrounded by breathtaking vistas, including snow-covered peaks, lush green forests, and crystal-clear streams. The Nanga Parbat base camp is located at an altitude of 13,000 feet, and the trek is not for the faint-hearted, but it is well worth the effort.

Once we reach the base camp, you will be mesmerized by the sheer beauty and majesty of the towering Nanga Parbat peak, also known as the “Killer Mountain”. You can take your time to soak in the panoramic views and capture some unforgettable photos to cherish for a lifetime.

After spending some time at the base camp, we will begin our journey back to Fairy Meadows. As we trek back, you can enjoy the stunning scenery and breathe in the fresh mountain air.

As the night falls, we will return to our comfortable huts at Fairy Meadows, where you can relax and unwind after a day full of adventure. Enjoy a warm meal while basking in the serene surroundings and reflecting on the memories made during the day. The beauty of Fairy Meadows will make you want to stay forever.

After a refreshing breakfast, embark on an exciting Jeep ride to Raikot, soaking in the breathtaking views of the rugged mountain terrain. The journey takes you through winding roads and past the ancient Silk Route, offering a glimpse into the rich history of the region. Upon arrival, we’ll drive to Gilgit and check into our hotel, where you can rest and recharge. After a delicious lunch, we’ll head out to explore the fascinating Buddha Rock Carving near Kargah stream, a remarkable testament to the region’s rich cultural heritage. Next, we’ll visit the vibrant Gilgit Bazaar and NLI market, where you can shop for local handicrafts, textiles, and souvenirs to take home with you. If time permits, we’ll take a drive to the river view point, where you can witness the majestic Gilgit River in all its glory. We’ll then retire to our hotel for a peaceful night’s sleep.

Need to Know About Road Condition Temperature Money Tipping Etiquette Voltage Laundry Service Before Visiting Pakistan

Road Condition:
➔ The road journey between Gilgit and Besham is quite lengthy and the road condition is not optimal.
➔ In the event that Babusar Top is open and the route through Naran-Kaghan valley is taken, the road condition is improved.

Hot Water Timings in The North:
➔ There are three hours set aside in the evening (6:00 pm-9:00 pm) and three hours in the morning (7:00 am-10:00 am) for your convenience.
➔ In the North, many hotels do not have heaters, but you can request double blankets if needed. Some hotels may also provide heating mattresses.

Immunization / Personal Medication:
➔ There are no mandatory vaccinations for entry into Pakistan. However, if you are taking medication for conditions like diabetes or heart problems, it is recommended that you carry the necessary medicines in your carry-on luggage to ensure that you have them with you in case your main luggage is delayed.

Temperature:
➔ During the spring and autumn seasons, the average daytime temperature in Northern Pakistan is around 15-20 Celsius, while the average nighttime temperature is around 10-15 Celsius. In the summer, the average daytime temperature in Northern Pakistan is around 20-30 Celsius, while the average nighttime temperature is around 15-25 Celsius. In Islamabad, the average daytime temperature during spring and autumn can be 25-30 Celsius, while the nighttime temperature is around 15-25 Celsius.

Money:
➔ Islamabad accepts credit cards such as Visa and Master Card, but it’s advisable to carry cash in Pakistani Rupee while traveling outside the capital. The official currency in Pakistan is Pakistani Rupees (PKR), and carrying a small amount of cash can come in handy while buying snacks, fruits, drinks, or souvenirs on the way. If you need to convert foreign currency, you can do so in Pakistan. However, it’s important to note that any US dollars issued earlier than 1996-2009 will be considered 15% less than their actual value. Also, torn, dirty, or stamped notes can decrease their value by at least 10%. Therefore, it’s recommended to bring US dollars issued after 2009 to avoid any inconvenience.

Tipping Etiquette:
➔ When it comes to tipping, it is customary to give 4-5 USD per day to your local guide and driver in Pakistan. However, you are free to give more based on the quality of their service. Keep in mind that this amount may seem small to you, but it is highly valued by the locals. As for tipping hotel and restaurant staff, it is recommended to give at least 100 PKR directly to them if they have provided you with any additional services that have made your stay more enjoyable. Other tipping is at your discretion.

Meals & Special Food Requirements:
➔ Throughout the tour, you’ll have the opportunity to savor the diverse and delicious food that the region has to offer. We provide breakfast and dinner during the tour, and the food menu is mostly similar to Indian cuisine. We offer a rotation of chicken, beef, mutton, vegetables, rice, and soups every day. We also provide local and Western breakfast options, along with tea. However, if you have a preference for certain foods or get tired of the same menu every day, we recommend bringing your comfort food such as sambal, canned food, or instant noodles.

Voltage:
➔ In the region, the standard voltage is 230 V and the frequency is 50 Hz. Type C (2 round pin) and type D (3 round pin) plugs are commonly used for electronic devices. It is recommended to bring appropriate adapters for your devices if they are not compatible with these plug types.

Laundry service:
➔ You can find laundry facilities in many hotels and towns during the trip. However, it’s recommended to plan ahead and choose a two-night stop to ensure you have enough time to get your laundry done and returned to you in time.

Altitude:
➔ The guided tour will take you to the highest altitude of approximately 4793 meters at the Khunjerab Pass – the border between Pakistan and China. The visit to this place will be limited to a maximum of one hour for photography. The average elevation in Northern Pakistan during the tour will be between 1000-2000 meters. The highest altitude during a Trekking Tour, on the other hand, will depend on the itinerary decided for the tour.

Packing:
➔ We suggest bringing a small or medium-sized suitcase with wheels. For weight restrictions, if you are flying with Thai Airways for your international flight, you are allowed one checked bag of up to 25 kg and a carry-on bag weighing up to 7 kg. For domestic flights with PIA Pakistan Airlines, you are allowed one checked bag weighing up to 20 kg and a carry-on bag weighing up to 7 kg.

Clothing:
➔ It’s important to wear comfortable and sturdy walking shoes with good support, particularly if you’re planning to explore the Northern regions of Pakistan. If you’re traveling during the spring, it’s advisable to bring along a windproof jacket, sweater, jeans, rain jacket, scarf, cotton socks, and comfortable walking shoes. It’s also recommended to pack some T-shirts with both long and short sleeves to protect yourself from the strong UV rays, as well as lightweight cotton trousers.
