A ride defined by altitude. Eleven days take you from 2,300m river valleys to within reach of 5,000m mountain passes, Deosai's alpine plateau, the remote Shigarthang Valley, the legendary Shimshal road, and Chapursan, whose village of Zoodkhun is the very last settlement on the Karakoram Highway corridor before the Chinese border at Khunjerab Pass.

Day 1: Arrival in Skardu & Chunda Valley
Arrive in Skardu, collect your motorcycle and take it for a shakedown ride out to Chunda Valley, a pocket of green meadows and mountain views a short distance from town — a gentle introduction before the altitude climbs sharply over the next ten days.
Day 2: Ride to Shigarthang Valley
Head into Shigarthang, a valley few visitors ever reach, following the Shigarthang Lungma River past Soq and Boolcho villages. Life here moves at its own pace — terraced fields, stone houses, and river views that stay with you long after the ride back to Skardu.
Day 3: Deosai National Park
Climb from Skardu onto the Deosai Plateau, a 3,000 km² expanse of near-treeless grassland at over 4,000m and one of the last refuges of the Himalayan brown bear. Break at Sadpara Lake, then take in Kala Pani, Bara Pani and Sheosar Lake's glacial blue before descending to Astore for the night.
Day 4: Ride to Hunza
Drop from the high plateau into Hunza Valley, passing the Three Mountain Range Junction — the one spot on earth where the Himalaya, Karakoram and Hindu Kush all meet — with clear views of Nanga Parbat and Rakaposhi along the way. Spend the evening in Karimabad Bazaar beneath Altit Fort.
Day 5: Excursion to Hopar
A shorter riding day built around Hopar Village and its glacier, which reaches almost to the valley floor. Continue on to Attabad Lake's brilliant turquoise water and cross the timber planks of Hussaini Suspension Bridge before pushing on to Passu for the night.
Day 6: Ride to Shimshal
The ride to Shimshal is the technical heart of this tour — a cliffside track with sheer drops to the Hunza River below, consistently ranked among the world's most dangerous roads. Pass the granite towers of Passu Cones on the way in, then take in the isolated village itself before riding back to Passu.
Day 7: Ride to Chapursan Valley
Ride via Sost to Chapursan, a long, quiet valley that ends at Zoodkhun — the final village on this stretch of the Karakoram range and one of the most remote inhabited places in Pakistan. Visit the shrine of Baba Ghundi Ziarat along the way before returning to Passu for the night.
Day 8: Ride to Khunjerab Pass (Chinese Border)
Ride to the top of the Karakoram Highway and the Pakistan–China border at Khunjerab Pass, 4,693m above sea level and the highest paved international crossing in the world. Pass through Khunjerab National Park, home to Marco Polo sheep and, occasionally, snow leopard tracks, before returning to Passu.
Day 9: Ride to Minapin
Head back down the Karakoram Highway to Minapin, in Nagar Valley, with Passu Cones, Attabad Lake and the sharp profile of Rakaposhi Peak keeping pace along the Hunza River for most of the ride.
Day 10: Ride to Skardu
The final riding day, back along the Karakoram Highway to Skardu. Stop at Astak Nala and unwind at Shangrila Lake — the "Heaven on Earth" resort — before your last night in the mountains.
Day 11: Departure from Skardu
A relaxed final morning to pack, explore Kharpocho Fort's viewpoint over the town or revisit Sarfaranga Cold Desert, before transferring to Skardu Airport for your departure flight.
