Traveler Stories

Flying saves a full day of transfer time that this itinerary reinvests into Khaplu, Fairy Meadows and Khunjerab Pass, making it the most complete route we offer within 14 days.

It's rated challenging, with the Shimshal road and the Nanga Parbat base camp hike included, so we recommend it for riders with some mountain touring experience or strong general fitness.

This route swaps Hushe Valley for Khaplu's Royal Fort and replaces the Chapursan/Khunjerab choice with a guaranteed ride to Khunjerab Pass, and starts/ends in Islamabad with flights rather than Skardu.

Three nights, Astore (after Deosai), and two nights at Fairy Meadows.

Yes. The support vehicle carries basic first aid and oxygen, and the itinerary is paced to allow gradual acclimatisation before the highest points.
