Traveler Stories

No, this is a one-way route. It starts in Skardu and finishes in Chitral, so plan your international flights accordingly (we can advise on the best domestic connections).

It's one of the more demanding, combining the Shimshal road, the Fairy Meadows hike, and back-to-back high passes over 14 days, but it's still rated within reach of a moderately fit, experienced rider.

The backup support vehicle carries all luggage the entire way, so you never need to worry about transporting bags between one-way endpoints.

Yes. The hike is optional, you're welcome to relax at Fairy Meadows instead while the rest of the group completes the trek.

Yes, see our "Last Villages of the Himalaya & Karakoram" tour (13 days), which covers the Karakoram and Himalaya sections of this route without continuing into the Hindu Kush.
